Open House Making House

A chance to visit Humanise HQ

Open House Festival is a London-wide festival that opens up and celebrates the city’s architecture, special sites and neighbourhoods, with open days and events taking place across all 33 London boroughs.

This year Humanise is taking part – and you’re invited! We’ll be at our campaign HQ, Heatherwick Studio’s Making House, chatting to visitors about why we need more interesting, joyful and human buildings and cities.

If you’re coming along, you’ll be able to collect a copy of our new limited edition hand-drawn walking tour map of King’s Cross. We’ve selected around a dozen buildings in the local area which each offer a different perspective on how a building can be interesting, joyful and human. Used in combination with our Spotter’s Guide to Human Buildings, it’s a great way to explore the area at your own pace and start identifying what makes a building human.

Persephone Quarme, Humanise’s Partnerships and Events Manager, said:

“We’re thrilled to be part of Open House this year, and looking forward to chatting to lots of people about the campaign. If you’re within reach, do drop by Making House for a chance to meet the team, get your hands on our special walking tour map, and some other Humanise goodies!”
